Located on the 2nd floor Alfresco area of One Ayala in Makati, Ebi 10 delivers an outstanding Izakaya experience that balances modern flair with authentic Japanese comfort food. This spot quickly establishes itself as a go-to destination for those seeking a vibrant yet cozy atmosphere to unwind and socialize.

The space itself is thoughtfully designed, blending a hip, contemporary vibe with inviting warmth. With a DJ setting the soundtrack, the energy is lively but never overwhelming—making it perfect for groups of friends or casual dates. Accessibility is also a priority here, with the establishment being PWD-friendly, ensuring everyone can enjoy their meal with ease.

What truly sets Ebi 10 apart is the food. Their menu is a celebration of quality ingredients and traditional Japanese flavors, presented with a creative twist. The signature tempura—especially the shrimp—is impeccably crisp and fresh, living up to the restaurant’s name. The Truffle Ponzu Steak stands out as a savory masterpiece, combining tender Australian beef with complementary textures and flavors like crispy onion and mushroom ponzu that enrich the dish without overpowering it.

Comfort food takes the spotlight with dishes like the Garlic Steak Donburi, where tenderloin meets rich yakiniku sauce and perfectly cooked chahan rice in a satisfying harmony. For those finishing on a sweet note, the Coffee Fudge Sundae offers a decadent treat, balancing bitterness and sweetness with smooth ice cream, whipped cream, and hints of Nutella and Biscoff. The refreshing Watermelon Soda Float is a great palate cleanser, bringing a playful aspect to the meal.

Service here deserves special mention. The staff exemplify attentiveness and genuine warmth, enhancing the dining experience without fuss. This courteous service complements the vibrant yet laid-back ambiance, making every visit feel personal and welcoming.

Absolute Must-Try Japanese Comfort Food with an Awesome Vibe! Ebi 10 at One Ayala is easily my new favorite Japanese spot! From the moment you walk in, the place feels modern and hip—they even have a DJ spinning music, which elevates the whole dining experience. The staff deserve a special mention; they were incredibly nice, attentive, and helpful throughout our meal. But the real star is the food quality. Everything was fresh and packed with flavor. Here are the dishes that blew us away: — Truffle Ponzu Steak (795): My absolute favorite—a must-try! The Australian tenderloin was perfectly cooked, and the combination of the crispy onion, kamote chips, and mushroom ponzu was heavenly. — Garlic Steak Donburi (695): The Australian tenderloin with yakiniku sauce and steak chahan was rich, satisfying, and a true comfort dish. — Ebi10 Tendon bowl (375) & Jumbo Shrimp (200/pc): The tempura is their namesake for a reason! The shrimp tempura and asohos in the Tendon were excellent, and the Jumbo Shrimp pieces (we ordered 3!) were perfectly crisp and fresh. — Coffee Fudge Sundae (295): The perfect sweet ending! A delightful mix of coffee fudge and ice cream with whipped cream, Nutella, and Biscoff—pure indulgence. — Watermelon Soda Float (225): A refreshing, fun drink to cut through the richness. If you're looking for top-quality Japanese comfort food, fantastic service, and a cool, modern atmosphere in Makati, you have to try Ebi 10 at One Ayala. Highly, highly recommended!

My college friends and I had our first Christmas dinner/and gift exchange here. We were supposed to rent the private room, but decided not to since there were only 5 of us attending instead of 7. Anyway, if you’re curious, the private room is worth ₱12,000 consumable. It is good for a maximum of 10 pax. They call it a private room but when we saw it it’s not really that private as it is also in the same area as the regular dining area with a partition that’s actually not a wall more like small pillars. We ordered Seju and Crazy Maki. And it’s good! I think it’s eight pieces each and it’s huge. Not your regular-sized sushi. You can’t fit the sushi in your mouth you have to slice it up. Then we also ordered Gyudon platter with rice and they said it’s good for 4-5 people. We actually didn’t finish the food, there’s still about half of the platter left. It’s a bit slimy for me and not that much for my liking. We also ordered a miso soup that in my opinion doesn’t taste like a normal miso soup more like sinigang but it’s not bad. I ordered a matcha latte doesn’t taste authentic but is good enough. Overall, I’d rate the food 7/10. I love Japanese food and given the option will always choose Japanese food over anything else, I’d say their food is not the best but it’s good enough. The price is also okay especially when you’re sharing with a group of friends. Serving is huge. Again, not your regular sushi size! The staff are very kind and attentive. We were assisted the first time we stepped into the restaurant and offered a glass of water as soon as we were settled. The atmosphere is nice. They have a bar counter and apparently a spot for a DJ. As a restaurant, the space is just enough and it’s conveniently located in One Ayala. Just a few minutes walk from the MRT Ayala Station. Not hard to find and very accessible. All in all, it was a good experience.
